I started teaching today. No, I didn't quit my day job. It's just one class - early in the morning, Monday and Wed. We'll see how it goes. They didn't look at me like I was a complete idiot - so far so good!

Congrats! How exciting!!
Yay! If they look at you crazy it just means that you're not pouring the information into their wee heads fast enough. At least, that was the approach I always took, and it seemed to work out fine: they left stunned & unable to criticize me. ;)
And why not quit the day job? Are they so horrible?
