wow

Today was about as Monday as they come...blah. But last night's Alejandro show at the Palms? Divine....At one point, like I hoped he would, Alejandro led the band off the stage and into the audience and, standing so that I could see the lines on his face and the gleam in his eye, serenaded us with, among other gems, "I Wish I Was Your Mother." And even though I'd lived that moment once before at the old Palms, it was anything but a cliche and I wanted to cry and I'm pretty sure I saw a woman wipe her cheek and the man behind me whispered wow when it was over and yes, it was just, wow.
