Tahoe was a quick but relaxing get-away...and it rained on our way back which is a major bonus. That and the relatively cool weather here....thanks to those who came out on Sat. night for the reading. I think it went alright although I felt like a rank amateur next to Michelle Tea and Frank Andrick, both in regards to content and performance ...but so it goes.

I've got an escalating case of the post-weekend blahs right now. Or is that the post-weekend mwahs? Because all I want to say to anything is, eh ... mwah....and if I have to explain that to you, well never mind....In any case I think it is the result of having so much going on and then, sudden quiet...Quiet is lovely. But sudden quiet can be startling and discomfiting.

Clearly, I need to address this face-on with the new Jennifer Aniston issue of Vanity Fair and a couple of beers. Because there's nothing like pop culture and booze to smother the blues...

edited to add: p.s., thanks to Dave, Cory & I are now obsessed with muffin tops. I mean, we were already obsessed with them, now we just have a name for our collective sickness.
